On rainy days

I wear the coat I bought for you

in  Dharamsala  I shopped

to find a gift

to warm, to keep you dry

a token of the miles between us

water repellant threads

as were we

Ironic then

you wore it once

or twice

Ultimately

succumbing

to water you embraced

Today in grey skies

I walk

Swimming in

A coat

Too big

Not meant for me
